Chavz enters into the contact sport of Hip Hop well equipped with an eclectic insight to how he writes that steams from his Sunset Park, Brooklyn breeding grounds all the way to his pure Dominican decent. Pulling inspiration from first hand stints of homelessness and over coming the plague of the short lived street life that continues to haunt our urban youth, Chavz story is more than the mere rags to riches story and becomes more inviting track by track. Realizing early on that his life needed a sense of purpose he began to see how he found his peace within music, as he could some how construct songs with ease Chavz started entering local talent shows building up his local notoriety. Feeding his skills through free styling in ciphers with his childhood crew gaining that competitive edge that gave birth to his own originality and with the help of his brother Nas (Nasir Hill), together they constructed So Serious Entertainment in November of 2008. The encouragement from Nas gave Chavz a new out look on a life long dream that he never took seriously but with  a natural desire to provide he decided to pursue what he had in him all along. He gives his style no particular description as he recalls the days of dancing to merengue with his mother as well as the first Hip-Hop song he fell in love with, “ I always loved music, the first (hip-hop) record I fell in love with was Paid In Full by Eric B and Rakim”. Influenced by a multitude of great artist Chavz draws muse from the likes of The Doors, LL Cool J, Wu-Tang, Hector Lavoe, as well as fellow Brooklyn native the late Notorious B.I.G. It wasn’t by chance that his demo landed in  the hands of BET’S correspondent and noted writer Samson Styles who teamed up with esteemed manager Norman “Storm” Bell to manage Chavz. With the outlook to invigorate his listeners to dance, have fun and more so that his music may help someone get through a tough situation. Rest assured Chavz isn’t apart of any trendy fad from his lyrical content to the impact he has simply by his style of dress, As hip-hop embarks on a new era he is a sure fire piece of the evolving genre.
