Eric Covington was born in Baltimore, Maryland, but spent his early years residing in Atlanta, GA where he was inspired by the sounds of Nas, Mos Def, Notorious BIG, Tribe Called Quest and Lupe Fiasco. At age nine he spent a year in his parents hometown of Chester, Pennsylvania (Philadelphia area), home of NBA All Stars Jameer Nelson & Tyreke Evans. It was during this time, that Eric became aware of his roots and would continue over the years to visit his family on the East Coast claiming his stake to those roots.  This experience would ultimately play a role in Eric becoming such a well-rounded individual. At age ten his family headed to the West Coast where he attended Crescent Heights Elementary School in Los Angeles, CA. playing on the Basketball Team with teammate Tyler Hunnicut now 2011 NBA Draft pick for the Sacramento Kings.  E. Cov blessed Tyler with his single entitled “Draft Day” off his debut mix tape “Steal Of Tha Draft” (released 7/27/2011). Tyler phoned E. Cov on draft day informing him that he had been listening to the single all day for motivation. "Draft Day” hit top 10 on hotnewhiphop.com. Eric went on to attend John Burroughs Middle School where he and Dijon Thames now Def Jam’s Recording Artist MANN, dreamed of making it to the top and had countless conversations on how they would do it. E. Cov talks about these times in his single entitled “Dear J.B.” off his mix tape “Steal Of Tha Draft”. E. Cov and MANN remain very good friends and are currently talking collaboration. MANN performed his Hit Single “Buzzin” at E. Cov’s “Steal of Tha Draft” mix tape release party August 6, 2011 in Downtown Los Angeles.

In 2006 Eric witnessed his father George “Jahir” Pierce develop an Independent Entertainment Label, FLAWLE$$ ENTERTAINMENT, INC. His father Jah managed an artist by the name of ILL Knob from KGB, one of Wu Tang Clans first Hip Hop groups.  ILL Knob became Eric’s biggest inspiration. ILL Knob features on the single “Whaddup Doe” off E. Cov's debut mix tape. Also during this time Eric learned that he had relatives in the Industry such as Oli “Power” Grant, mogul actor and co-founder of legendary Hip Hop group Wu Tang Clan and Recording Artist, Entrepreneur Danny “Ace” The Future Valentine, also derived from the legendary Hip Hop group Wu. With Eric surrounded and guided by these great musical influences in his young life, it’s no surprise that music would be his destiny. After graduating Chatsworth High School (California) In 2009, Eric was accepted to Arizona State University. After a year of college he wasn't truly fulfilled with the direction of his life and decided he would pursue his true dreams. Eric returned home to Los Angeles, where he poured all his love and passion into making his music. He built a home recording studio where he and his father Jah spent countless nights recording music. Thus, through this father/son quest, E. Cov was born.

                    E. Cov is a Hip Hop artist in his own lane with his catchy lyrics and feel good tracks. He has a unique lyrical flow that demands your attention. E. Cov has graced the stages of many hip hop venues in the Los Angeles area; Boardners, El Cid, Trip, Libertine Lounge, 2nd Street Jazz & Locals to name a few. E. Cov is inspired today by artist such as Mann, Casey Veggies, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z, Kanye West, Common, Big Sean and J Cole. E. Cov is signed to FLAWLE$$ ENTERTAINMENT, INC. and with the support of his label, he is on a non-stop grind in pursuit of his career. He is dedicated, motivated and focused on making his dream of being a major force in the entertainment industry, reality. He is without a doubt a young, self-motivated Hip Hop artist on the rise to unlimited success!
