In a monumental celebration of Hip Hop’s 50th birthday, the Bronx, the birthplace of the genre, will witness an unforgettable night of legendary performances. HAVOC of Mobb Deep is set to take the stage on Friday, Aug. 11, at Hip Hop 50 Live at Yankee Stadium, an event that promises to be a milestone in the history of the genre.

The star-studded lineup includes iconic names like Run DMC, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, and many more, with additional talent yet to be announced. The “Queens of Hip Hop” set will showcase the prowess of Eve, Lil Kim, Remy Ma, Trina, and others, while T.I., Fat Joe, Common, A$AP Ferg, EPMD, Ghostface Killah, Lupe Fiasco, and Slick Rick are among the other featured performers. The event will also pay homage to the pillars of Hip Hop with a set featuring Kool Herc & Cindy Campbell, Grandmaster Caz, Kurtis Blow, Melle Mel, Roxanne Shante, Scorpio, and the Sugarhill Gang. A “Legendary DJ” set will include Clark Kent, Marley Marl, Mannie Fresh, and Battlecat.

Presales for tickets will begin on Thursday, June 8, at 10 a.m. EST until 10 p.m. EST, followed by the general on-sale on Friday, June 9, at 10 a.m. EST. Ticket prices start as low as $50, making this historic celebration accessible to fans of all ages. Early bird access to tickets is granted to several community organizations, including Renaissance Youth Center, New Settlement, SCAN-Harbor, Madison Square Boys & Girls Club, Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, North East Bronx YMCA, Castle Hill YMCA, New York Urban League, Hispanic Federation, Bronx Chamber of Commerce, Bronx Community Foundation, and CORO New York Leadership Center.

Co-produced by Mass Appeal, Live Nation, and the New York Yankees, Hip Hop 50 Live at Yankee Stadium is a collaborative effort to honor the genre’s monumental anniversary. Emmy Award-winner and BASSic Black Entertainment CEO Adam Blackstone, who recently served as the musical director for the halftime show at Super Bowl LVI, is taking on the role of managing creative music director, along with partner, producer/keyboardist Omar Edwards.

This event is part of Mass Appeal’s broader Hip Hop 50 initiative, a cross-platform celebration recognizing Hip Hop not only as a genre but as a movement that has had a profound impact globally.
